SuperHub South is open for business!

Phase One of the Yearsley Group SuperHub South is now open for business following first intake.

The building work at Great Haddon Employment Zone near Peterborough came to a halt in early September, and the countdown to opening began.  Equipment was installed, employees recruited, and the freezer turned on in readiness for the big day.  With 20 initial employees and more on the way as the store quickly fills up to it’s starting capacity of 12,000 pallets; Phase One is already bringing lots of new jobs to the area.

Yearsley General Manager Ray Venemore is heading up the team at Peterborough after successfully running another of Yearsley’s sites in Wisbech for more than 12 years.  Ray and his core team of four existing Yearsley supervisors and operatives – who between them have over 70 years of Yearsley experience – are all on hand to ensure the new store gets off to a running start, and to train the new employees up to the usual high standards we have come to expect  and rely on at Yearsley Group.

It’s been an exciting first few weeks of action at the new SuperHub South in Peterborough, with more to come as we ramp up for Christmas.  Keep checking back here for more Peterborough news and events as they happen.
