Yearsley Food has been recognised as Sector Supplier of the Year at the annual Compass Group Supplier Awards.
Collaboratively working with Compass, Yearsley Food service the country’s leading trusts with an extensive range of high quality and nutritional texture modified meals.
Alongside Mrs Gills, more than 100 specialised, texture modified meal options have been developed. Yearsley Food understand that making changes to your diet due to dysphagia can be difficult. They worked with leading dietitians, chefs and catering managers to launch a range of nutritious, visually appealing, dysphagia-friendly meals suitable for category B (puréed), category C (puréed), category D (pre-mashed) and category E (fork mashable) diets. The meals are made using real, natural ingredients promoting Compass’ use of a ‘clean label’.
Ian King, Sales Director, Yearsley Food said, ‘Compass had specific requirements and we worked hard to match their high standards in terms of quality and choice. A wide, varied menu of puréed dishes that retain their shape and texture even after cooking has been created, meaning we can be confident all patients will be able to enjoy their meals safely.’
Maxine Cartz, Registered Dietitian, Medirest, Compass Group UK & Ireland commented: “Yearsley Food fulfilled our requirements and more, providing us with a large range of bespoke, niche products for vulnerable patients. The menus developed provide a safe, equitable service to patients with swallowing problems preserving their right to a choice of options, with appropriate textures and nutritional values.’
